Weekly “ZERI”, established in 1945, remains the most prominent and influential magazine in Kosova. In may of this year, weekly “ZERI” became a modern magazine which is aiming to go beyond daily information and daily politics in Kosova. It seems that now, more and more, this attitude will be appretiated in newspapers, because, as it is expectable, electronic medias that are now becoming very strong in Kosova, are covernig successfully most important informations.

In spite of magazines “boom” in post-war Kosova, “ZERI” is still most preferable periodic newspaper, among others, because it is trying to bring in front of readers, not only most important political events seen “from the other side”, but also cultural and all other events in Kosova and in the world.

Average circulation of “ZERI” during this year was 7000 copies with 65-70% of sold copies. It is distributed in Kosova and in Macedonia. We are planning to start with our western edition.

The most serious problem is related with our price, which remains 1.5 DM. Real price is 2 DM. We are still keeping this price, because we are convinced that this step will surely effect our circulation.

• Information about the applicant organisation

Informative Publishing Enterprise “ZERI” is established in december, 1993.

In Company “ZERI” are employed alltogether 101 persons. In daily “ZERI”, are employed 81 persons, from which 12 women. In weekly “ZERI” are employed 20 persons, from which 4 women.
